Is Life Tips medical or legal advice?

Life Tips gives general information only. It is not medical or legal advice. In an emergency, call 911.

How do I move around the app?

Use the bar at the bottom: Home, Guides, Contacts and More. The red phone button in the middle is SOS.

How do I change the language or the look of the app?

Open More. Tap Language to switch between English and Chinese. Tap Appearance to choose Match System, Light or Dark.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Your data stays on your device and the app works without an internet connection. Only the optional features that open other apps (Maps, Messages, the App Store) and the ad banner (iPhone) need a connection.

How do I call an emergency number?

Open Contacts. The emergency numbers are at the top. Tap one to open your dialer.

Can I change the emergency numbers?

Yes. In Contacts, tap the edit (pencil) icon in the emergency numbers section. You can change numbers and labels, add new ones or delete them. Tap the restore icon to bring back the defaults.

How do I add an emergency contact?

Open Contacts and tap + in the top right. Enter a name, phone number and an optional note (for example, Wife or Family Doctor). Each contact has Call and SMS buttons.

How does SOS work?

Tap the red phone button. The app asks "Send SOS?" and explains that it will open your SMS app with a pre-filled distress message to all your emergency contacts. Tap Send to continue. The app then opens your messaging app with the message ready. Nothing is sent until you tap send there. If you allow location access while using the app, the message also includes a Google Maps link to where you are (the app waits up to about 6 seconds for your location). If you do not allow it, or your location is not available, the message is still prepared without a link. If you have no emergency contacts yet, the app tells you to add one first and offers a Call 911 button.

Can I change the SOS message?

Yes. Open More, tap SOS Message, edit the text and save. Tap Reset to Default to go back.

What is the ICE card?

ICE means "In Case of Emergency". Open More and tap ICE Card to keep your blood type, allergies, medications, conditions, doctor and notes in one place. This information stays on your device. We do not receive it.

How do I add an insurance policy?

Open Home, tap My Policies, then tap + in the top right. Enter the policy type, insurer, policy number and claims hotline. You can add an agent's contact and an expiry date. The app can remind you before it expires; this uses local notifications on your device. If reminders do not appear, check Settings > Notifications > Life Tips.

How do I find a guide?

Open Guides. Use the search box or the category chips. Tap a guide to read the steps. First-aid guides are general information, not a substitute for professional help.

How do I save a route?

Open Home, tap Routes, then tap + in the top right. Enter a name and the addresses you type. Tap Navigate to open the route in Google Maps (the app, or its website if the app is not installed). The addresses are passed to Google Maps. If you enter only one address, the route starts from your current location.

Can I reorder or remove the home sections?

Yes. On Home, tap the pencil icon in the top right to edit. Drag the handle to reorder, tap the red trash icon to delete, or tap a card to edit it. Tap the check mark to save.

Can I add my own section?

Yes. In edit mode, tap Add Section at the bottom. Choose a color, icon and title, and whether it dials a number or shows notes.

How do I back up my data?

Open More and tap Export (Copy backup). The app copies your data to the clipboard as text. Paste it into a note or file you keep safe. The app does not upload it anywhere.

How do I restore a backup?

Copy the backup text, open More and tap Import (Restore). The restore replaces all current data (contacts, policies, sections and so on), so the app asks you to confirm first.

Why do I see an ad?

Life Tips is free. A banner ad (provided by Google AdMob) is shown at the bottom of the Home screen. Emergency screens (calls, SOS, ICE card and first-aid steps) never show ads.

How do I remove ads?

Open More and tap Remove Ads, then Subscribe. It is an auto-renewing monthly subscription billed by Apple, and the price is shown before you confirm. It only removes the banner ad; all features stay free.

I subscribed on another device or reinstalled the app. How do I restore it?

Open More, tap Remove Ads, then tap Restore purchases. Use the same Apple ID you subscribed with.

How do I cancel?

On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose Life Tips and tap Cancel Subscription (you may need to scroll down). As stated in the subscription terms in the app, cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to avoid the next charge. You keep the ad-free benefit until the period ends.

Can I get a refund?

Apple handles billing and decides refund requests; we cannot issue refunds. To ask for one, go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account, choose "I'd like to" > "Request a refund", pick the reason and select Life Tips. Cancelling a subscription is separate from requesting a refund.

What are Ad Privacy Settings?

In some regions (for example the EEA, UK and Switzerland) the app asks for your choice about ads. Where it applies, you can change that choice later in More > Ad Privacy Settings.

Life Tips —

Life Tips

Life Tips

ICE 是 "In Case of Emergency"(紧急情况)。

Life Tips 免费。

申请方法:访问 reportaproblem.apple.com,用你的 Apple 账户登录,选择「I'd like to」>「Request a refund」(申请退款),选择原因并选中 Life Tips。
