About this policy
My Dictionary is published by Nebula Technologies LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app does with your information.
Information stored on your device
Your words, definitions, example sentences, photos, voice notes, scripts, chat history, review progress, and settings are stored on your device. My Dictionary does not require an account or sign-in.
Camera, photos, microphone, and speech recognition
You can take or choose a photo to attach to a word or a quick capture, and you can record short voice notes. Photos and recordings you save stay on your device. During script practice, your spoken answer is turned into text by your device's speech recognizer so the app can score your pronunciation; recordings are stored on your device and are not uploaded by us.
AI features
Some features (filling in word details, generating words, identifying a word from a photo, quizzes, AI chat practice, and AI script drafts) use AI. When you use one of them, the relevant content is sent over the internet to our server (hosted on Cloudflare), which forwards it to Anthropic's Claude service to produce the result. A photo in HEIC format, which Claude cannot read, is forwarded to Google's Gemini service instead. Depending on the feature, this can include: the word and its details, a list of up to 200 words from your library (so new words are not duplicates), up to 30 words and definitions for a quiz, your chat messages and the last 12 messages of the conversation, a script scenario you typed, or a photo you took or chose.
Our server does not save this content. It records only how many AI points an anonymous ID has used, so it can apply your plan's allowance. Anthropic and Google process the content under their own terms. We use their paid APIs, under which Anthropic states that it does not train its models on this content and Google states that it is not used to improve its products. Photos can contain faces, text, or your surroundings, so please only use photo features with images you are comfortable sending.
Local network (Web Import)
The optional Web Import tool starts a small server on your device so you can add words and photos from a browser on another device on the same Wi-Fi network. It runs only while that screen is open.
Subscriptions and purchases
My Dictionary offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions (an ad-free plan and AI plans) through the App Store. Apple processes payment. We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions: RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID, your purchase receipt, and subscription status. Our server uses that anonymous ID to look up your plan and to count AI usage. We do not receive your name, email, or payment details.
Advertising
The free plan shows a banner ad in the Library, provided by Google AdMob through the Google Mobile Ads SDK. The SDK may collect your IP address, device or advertising identifiers, and ad interaction data. Where required (for example in the EEA and UK), the app shows Google's consent form before requesting personalised ads, and you can change your choice later in Settings. Ad-free and AI subscribers do not receive ad requests. The app does not show Apple's tracking permission prompt.
Service providers
We use: Apple (App Store and purchases), RevenueCat (subscription management), Cloudflare (hosting the AI server and its usage counters), Anthropic (Claude for AI), and Google (Gemini for HEIC photos, AdMob for ads). Each handles data under its own privacy policy. We do not use analytics or crash-reporting services.
Your choices
You can use the app without AI features and without subscribing. You can change ad consent in Settings (where shown) and cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings. To ask about or delete data tied to your anonymous usage ID, contact us.
Children
My Dictionary is not directed to children under 13.

相机、相册、麦克风与语音识别
您可以拍照或选择照片添加到单词或随手记录中，也可以录制简短的语音记录。您保存的照片和录音留在您的设备上。在情景练习中，您的口语作答会由设备的语音识别功能转成文字，以便为发音打分；录音保存在设备上，我们不会上传。
AI 相关功能
部分功能（补全单词详情、生成单词、从照片识别单词、测验、AI 聊天练习和 AI 生成脚本）使用 AI。当您使用其中某项功能时，相关内容会通过网络发送到我们的服务器（托管在 Cloudflare），再由服务器转发给 Anthropic 的 Claude 服务生成结果。HEIC 格式的照片 Claude 无法读取，会改为转发给 Google 的 Gemini 服务。根据功能不同，可能包括：单词及其详情、词库中最多 200 个单词的列表（避免生成重复单词）、测验所需的最多 30 个单词和释义、您的聊天消息及最近 12 条对话、您输入的脚本场景，或您拍摄或选择的照片。
我们的服务器不保存这些内容，只记录一个匿名 ID 已使用了多少 AI 点数，用于计算您所在方案的额度。Anthropic 和 Google 按各自的条款处理这些内容。我们使用它们的付费 API，Anthropic 声明不会用此类内容训练其模型，Google 声明此类内容不会用于改进其产品。照片可能包含人脸、文字或您周围的环境，请只对您愿意发送的照片使用照片功能。
本地网络（网页导入）
可选的「网页导入」工具会在您的设备上启动一个小型服务器，让您可以从同一 Wi-Fi 网络下另一台设备的浏览器添加单词和照片。该服务仅在您打开此页面时运行。
订阅与购买
My Dictionary 通过 App Store 提供可选的自动续订订阅（去广告方案和 AI 方案）。付款由 Apple 处理。我们使用 RevenueCat 管理订阅：RevenueCat 会收到一个匿名的应用用户 ID、您的购买凭证和订阅状态。我们的服务器使用该匿名 ID 查询您的方案并统计 AI 用量。我们不会收到您的姓名、邮箱或付款信息。
广告
免费方案会在词库中显示由 Google AdMob 通过 Google 移动广告 SDK 提供的横幅广告。该 SDK 可能会收集您的 IP 地址、设备或广告标识符以及广告互动数据。在法律要求的地区（例如欧洲经济区和英国），应用会在请求个性化广告前显示 Google 的同意表单，您之后可以在设置中更改选择。去广告和 AI 方案的订阅用户不会发出广告请求。本应用不会显示 Apple 的跟踪授权提示。
服务提供商
我们使用：Apple（App Store 与购买）、RevenueCat（订阅管理）、Cloudflare（托管 AI 服务器及其用量计数）、Anthropic（Claude 用于 AI）以及 Google（Gemini 用于 HEIC 照片，AdMob 用于广告）。各服务商按其自身的隐私政策处理数据。我们不使用分析或崩溃报告服务。
